After completing his MBBS and MS in Orthopedics from UCMS (University of Delhi), he underwent senior residency training at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for 3 years. Then he was selected for Spine fellowship training at Singapore General Hospital for one year. This is one of the best centres in the world for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery training and Dr Gaurav was selected from over 5000 applicants who apply each year.
Dr Gaurav Sharma introduced many new techniques in Chandigarh Tricity including MIS TLIF and OLIF and has performed the maximum number of OLIF (a new Spine technique) in Chandigarh, Tricity and Punjab. He uses advanced alarm systems in all his Spine cases.
For advanced Knee training, Dr Gaurav went for Fellowship training at Seoul National University Hospital under Prof TK Kim for 6 months. Dr Gaurav has now performed several difficult Knee Replacement Surgeries.
